Press Release Body = Here at Picnicware we've had a great time building a business
around the British love of Picnicing and the great outdoors. And for many years we
haven't had to venture from selling 'traditional' picnic products like wicker
shopping baskets and willow cocktail hampers. Our most popular products like willow
picnic hampers and picnic backpacks have never been unpopular and continue to
attract a great following. But in the last few years there has been a lot of
innovation in Picnic products which has resulted in the Picnic market becoming a
seemingly innovative and high tech business market. Increased Investment in
research and development in and the continued British love of Picnics have combined
to create fresh appeal for outdoor activity lovers everywhere. In this article I
want to bring attention to the great array of products that are arriving on our
shores in ever more increasing numbers. Some are updates on the classic sellers,
such as the cooler bag, whilst some have the ability to be completely revolutionary.

Here at Picnicware.co.uk we have been particularly impressed by the imagination of
several companies whilst developing new and exciting products for the outdoor Picnic
market. We love the log fire, an idea that completely re-invents the notion of the
fire. What seems like a large plain log is actually an entire fire starting system.
The striking of a match against its side starts an internal combustion process, in
one fail swoop ending the need for knowledge of time-honoured fire starting methods.
Families can carry their own portable fire (the Log Fire comes with a handle) too
whoever they wish, and with the minimum of fuss be able to have a warm fire within
minutes. Whilst this may not please users of the long established age old skills we
learnt whilst living in caves, its will please the many out there whose stressful
lives are already over taken with time consuming and monotonous tasks.

Picnicware also loves the development within the liquid holder market. Tri Function
Flasks that can contain several different types of liquid (your hot soup, cold water
and your whisky). It's a simple diversion from the simple 'One Drink' Flasks, but a
great multifunction idea. We've also had a great time trying out new innovations
within the Picnic chair market, with products such as the fold away chair. A
product that at first glance is a flat piece of material about the size of a small
paving slab, but which actually folds out into a surprisingly comfortable and
supportive chair. It's able to be flat packed and is extremely portable without
negating on the comfort that is required from a chair; we at picnicware believe it
is soon to make all other foldaway chairs redundant.

A third innovation that found its way onto our desks in summer is the Polar Pack
cooler, a product that takes the idea of cooler packs and chilled drinks to the
next level. We sell many Wine & Drink Coolers here at Picnicware, but this product
really pushes the envelope of what's possible. It's essentially the same as a
standard cooler bag, but with one vital difference for those hot tents next summer,
the drinks stay cool for UP TO A WEEK. It's essentially a portable fridge that
requires no electricity! In our hot office, after we retrieved our cans from the
Cooler five days after taking the packs out of the freezer, they were still chilled
and cold. It's a wonderful invention and one we think you will be seeing a lot more
of in the shops around you soon.

Staying with the subject of cooler bags, an increasingly popular idea that is
gaining momentum is the so called 'Cooler Bag Radio'. Great new products are often
combinations of two separate areas, and the need to listen to a nice bit of Classic
FM whilst nibbling pineapple and cheese is a simple idea, but one that is extremely
inventive.

Here at Picnic ware, we believe that the future for innovation lies next to the
traditional. There is always going to be demand for Picnic backpacks, hampers and
Ye Olde wicker baskets, but there is also the demand for new and exciting products
such as the Cooler Bag Radio and the Tri Function Flask. In this article we have
only scratched the surface of what is going to be available in the next few years.
And I think you'll agree, it's isn't going to be seen as a 'traditional' market for
much longer.
